Physical Therapy on Broadway (Route 4) in Fair Lawn
Our Fair Lawn clinic is in Suite 12 at 15-01 Broadway (Route 4), with free parking in the building's own lot and a ramp up to our entrance. Broadway station on NJ Transit's Bergen County Line is about a quarter mile away, so patients from Glen Rock, Elmwood Park, Hawthorne, Paramus and Saddle Brook can reach us by car or train.
This is the only Holsman clinic with an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, which lets you walk or run with part of your body weight lifted so you can train safely early after an injury or surgery. Fair Lawn is also one of three Holsman clinics offering dry needling, performed by a physical therapist certified in the technique. Dr. Poorna Shah, PT, DPT, and occupational therapist Geetha Kurian are part of the team.
Physical, occupational and speech therapy are all offered here, along with Holsman's HolStep® and No Fall Protocol® balance programs, shockwave therapy, KinesIQ balance training and functional capacity evaluations. Families can also use our Holsman Children's Therapy Center in Suite 14C of the same building for pediatric PT, OT and speech. Holsman has been treating Bergen County patients since 2004.

What insurance does the Fair Lawn clinic accept?
Yes. Our Fair Lawn clinic accepts Medicare Part B, most private and PPO plans (including Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and Humana), workers' compensation including federal FECA claims, auto accident (no-fault/PIP) claims, and VA Community Care. Do I need a referral for physical therapy in Fair Lawn?
Usually not. Under New Jersey's direct access law you can book physical therapy on your own. The exception is insurance: some plans require a referral or prescription for coverage, and we confirm that for you before you come in. Medicare patients can start without a referral; your physician certifies the plan of care, and we handle that paperwork with your doctor.
What is the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill?
The AlterG lifts part of your body weight while you walk or run, so you can start moving sooner after surgery or injury with less load on healing joints. Fair Lawn (Suite 12) is the only Holsman clinic that has one. Your therapist will decide at your evaluation whether it belongs in your plan.
