Physical Therapy on Morris Park Avenue
Holsman's Morris Park clinic is at 799 Morris Park Ave., on the neighborhood's main shopping street near White Plains Road. The Bx21 bus stops along Morris Park Avenue, and the Morris Park station on the 5 train is a little over half a mile away, so it is easy to reach without a car from Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Parkchester and Westchester Square. Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Medical Center are about a mile east along the same avenue.
This clinic focuses on physical therapy. Our therapists treat back and neck pain, arthritis, sports injuries, work injuries and recovery after surgery, and they build each plan around what you need to get back to, whether that is climbing the subway stairs, lifting at work or getting back on the court.
Patients here also have access to Holsman's HolStep® and No Fall Protocol® balance programs, shockwave therapy for chronic tendon pain, KinesIQ balance and coordination training, and functional capacity evaluations for workers' compensation cases. We accept Medicare, workers' comp, no-fault and most New York managed Medicaid plans, and Holsman has been treating patients since 2004.

Questions About Our Morris Park Clinic
What insurance does the Morris Park clinic accept?
We accept Medicare Part B, PPO plans, workers' comp (state and federal FECA), auto/no-fault claims after a car accident, VA Community Care, and most New York managed Medicaid plans, including Fidelis Care, Affinity, Amida Care, VNS Choice and Molina. Call our Morris Park front desk at 718-684-6300 for a free insurance check before your first visit.
Do I need a doctor's referral for physical therapy in New York?
You can start without one. New York's direct access rule lets an experienced physical therapist treat you for up to 10 visits or 30 days (whichever comes first) before a physician referral is needed. Keep in mind that some insurance plans require a referral or prescription to pay for therapy; we verify your plan's requirements for free. With Medicare, your doctor must also certify the plan of care, which we arrange.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Plan to talk through your injury or condition, your medical history and your goals. Your physical therapist will test your strength, flexibility, balance and movement, explain what is causing the problem, and start your treatment plan. Bring ID, your insurance card, any referral or prescription, and wear comfortable clothing.
What are the Morris Park clinic's hours?
Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
How do I get to 799 Morris Park Ave.?
Take the Bx21 bus, which runs along Morris Park Avenue, or the 5 train to Morris Park station, about a half-mile walk. If you are driving, call 718-684-6300 and we will tell you where to park nearby.
