Questions About Our Clifton Clinic
What insurance does the Clifton clinic accept?
Yes. Our Clifton clinic accepts Medicare Part B, most private and PPO plans (including Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and Humana), workers' compensation including federal FECA claims, auto accident (no-fault/PIP) claims, and VA Community Care. Call 973-246-6565 and we will verify your benefits for free before your first visit.
Do I need a referral for therapy in Clifton?
New Jersey allows direct access, so you can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist without seeing a doctor first. Some insurance plans, however, require a referral or prescription before they will cover therapy. We look up your plan's rules for free. If you have Medicare, no referral is needed to start, but your doctor must sign off on your plan of care, which we arrange.
Do you see children at the Clifton Avenue clinic?
Yes. We see children for occupational therapy at this clinic, including fine motor skills, handwriting, self-care, sensory processing and coordination. For pediatric physical therapy and speech, our Holsman Children's Therapy Center in Fair Lawn is the main pediatric site.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your therapist will ask about your symptoms, health history and goals, then assess strength, movement and function. You will get a clear explanation and a treatment plan, and most patients begin treatment that day. Please bring ID, your insurance card and any referral or prescription.
What are the Clifton clinic's hours?
